Future City is an exciting club for students who are curious about engineering, creativity, and innovation! Students work together in teams to design and build a model of a sustainable, environmentally friendly city set 100 years in the future—all based on a unique challenge scenario. Meetings begin in the fall, and the season wraps up with a competition held at North Carolina State University on a Saturday at the end of January. Best of all, participation is completely free! Students will meet after school 1–2 times per week, and families are asked to provide transportation home after meetings and to the competition. We’re proud to share that in 2025, our team won the Mott MacDonald Award, In 2026 we won Best Use of Urban Agriculture award. Come be part of the team and help us build the future!
